Great conversation! Would you consider offering your propaganda class outside of NYU (like via Zoom)? I'd love to take it.

Expand full comment

I sure would; but NYU won't let me. Eventually I will.

I'd love to take it also. I credit some of my relative skill at detecting and combatting most propaganda campaigns from a course that I took in (if you can believe it) High School that was expressly focused on the subject. This was in a public high school in Newton, MA in 1981, where skepticism of big government and big corporations was a widely shared value among the liberal set. Not anymore, as we all know.

Should be a required subject. However, to the contrary, it is highly doubtful this is a subject still taught there or almost anywhere for that matter.

Yes what happened to the liberals I grew up with in the sixties/seventies who were well aware of the war and profit machine that kept growing and was very polarizing to say the least.Seems like it was all a dream now. I have some ideas but Jackson Browne saw the downfall a long time ago when he wrote this song. https://youtu.be/7SX-HFcSIoU

I live on the Newton Brighton line, and attended Boston College 1985 to 1989. I had a couple of excellent professors that taught me to be a little more than skeptical of the "status quo.". I have not had a spefic class that focuses on propaganda as the main topic. I can't wait till professor Crispin Miller can teach his class again. I will definitely be signing up if there is a zoom version available. In the meantime, I so appreciate all that he is continuing to share with us on this topic.

Webinar last night with Dr. Kory on the VSRF was amazing! Could have listened to the two of you chat for hours. Would love to hear an extended conversation with you and Dr. Kory. Have a feeling you were both just getting started. We streamed the webinar to a Clubhouse room (all audio app) and then continued the conversation about your webinar and propaganda for another 2 hours. Probably 100 in the audience and maybe 30 who came up over the 2 hours to join in the conversation. You stimulated a lot of great discussion!

Propaganda and censorship go hand in hand. This is a story that weaves together Propaganda and the science that informs propaganda and censorship by studying the efficacy of it, Behavioral Science. And how "the coronavirus" and the rise of global totalitarian governance are inextricably linked. Through Big Tech, Big Media, government agencies, corporations, entertainment, healthcare, biotech, all joined together at the very top by a few people in powerful positions. And all those named in this story are themselves puppets on strings wielded by unseen hands. For your consideration.

Facebook's top legal executive joined the Biden team just two weeks before the Hunter Biden story broke. What are the chances that Facebook choosing to censor the story was influenced by that connection?

"Joe Biden’s transition team has hired top Facebook executive Jessica Hertz as its general counsel to oversee ethical issues"

New York Post, October 1, 2020

https://nypost.com/2020/10/01/joe-biden-hires-facebooks-jessica-hertz-for-transition-team/

Hertz went on to hold one of the most powerful positions in an administration, the same one held by John Podesta in the Clinton administration:

"Former Facebook attorney Jessica Hertz is resigning her powerful post as White House staff secretary, according to a new report"

New York Post, October 20, 2021

https://nypost.com/2021/10/12/ex-facebook-lawyer-jessica-hertz-resigns-as-biden-staff-secretary/

But who is Jessica Hertz and why is she important in this story?:

"Sunstein’s protégé, Jessica Hertz, managed to segue from her job in the Obama administration as a deputy counsel to Biden to a high-ranking position at Facebook and then to the Biden transition team, overseeing ethics considerations. Now, she’s been named Biden’s staff secretary, where she controls what documents land on his desk."

BlueTent, February 5, 2021

https://bluetent.us/articles/governing/cass-sunstein-biden-white-house-oira/

But that was a long story about Cass Sunstein that just mentioned Hertz. Who is Cass Sunstein, and why is he important to this story?:

The Behavioral Scientist, September 16, 2015

https://behavioralscientist.org/executive-order-formally-establishes-us-nudge-unit/

"To mark Obama’s executive order, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy hosted an informational event at the White House which featured remarks from Nobel Laureate Daniel Kahneman, Harvard Professor and Nudge co-author Cass Sunstein, as well as a number of leaders of White House Policy Councils.

The Social and Behavioral Sciences Team’s mission is to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of government agencies, and its work is a key component of the current administration’s push for evidence-based policy.

Since 2014, the Social and Behavioral Sciences Team, often referred to as the ‘US Nudge Unit,’ has been working quietly within the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. The executive order formally establishes the team and the role it will play in the government—described in a memo issued yesterday to agencies throughout the government.

Yesterday, the Social and Behavioral Sciences Team—led by Maya Shankar, a Senior Advisor at the Office of Science and Technology Policy—also issued its first annual report detailing findings from more than a dozen behavioral science initiatives it conducted over the past year.":

But that was a long story about Maya Shankar that just mentions Sunstein. Who is Maya Shankar and why is she important to this story?:

https://thedecisionlab.com/thinkers/psychology/maya-shankar

"In 2016, Shankar served as the first behavioral science advisor to the United Nations, and continues to apply her behavioral science expertise on decision making in her current role as Google’s Global Director of Behavioral Economics"

And Maya Shankar is coauthor of this official UN publication. Which tells us how we're going to be "happy owning nothing and eating bugs." Applying Behavioral Science Choice Architecture, manufactured scarcity, linguistics and mindgames:

What's the big deal with using Behavioral science to achieving government public policy goals? Totalitarian government is kind of a big deal, wouldn't you say?:

Use of fear to control behaviour in Covid crisis was ‘totalitarian’, admit scientists

UK Telegraph, May 14, 2021

Back to Maya Shankar, here's the org chart for the OSTP during the Obama administration:

https://obamawhitehouse.archives.gov/administration/eop/ostp/about/leadershipstaff

"OSTP Leadership & Staff

TECHNOLOGY & INNOVATION DIVISION

Assistant Director, Behavioral Science Maya Shankar

Assistant Director, Biological Innovation Robbie Barbero"

Why is this org chart important and who is Robbie Barbero, heading up Biological Innovation right next to Behavioral Science? Well, they both are featured in Council on Foreign Relations panel discussions. That relate to this story.

Shankar tells us how she modeled the US behavioral science team after the UK's team...the same team that is guilty of weaponizing the science of totalitarianism (propaganda) against the British people:

Behavioral Insights Into Policymaking

Council on Foreign Relations, April 18, 2017

https://www.cfr.org/event/behavioral-insights-policymaking

"You’ve heard the sort of Council on Foreign Relations dos and don’ts. This is on the record. I know there were many things that might have been said about behavioral economics off the record had it been so, but unfortunately everything we say will in fact be on the record. So that deeply constrains our conversation, but so be it."

"So you joined the White House, you’re in the Office of Science and Technology Policy, and then I guess 2015, the use of behavioral insights and behavioral economics becomes sort of codified as this will now be part of the policymaking process. Maybe talk about how that came about. Or, you know, I know that there certainly was the Cass Sunstein initially in the White House and was trying to apply some of the nudge ideas in practice, but maybe talk about how that became ever more a part of the policymaking process.

SHANKAR: Yeah, absolutely. So I joined the Obama White House at the beginning of the second term. And by that point, Cass Sunstein had served as administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs for several years. And he really brought a unique lens to that particular role by looking for applications of behavioral science to policy.

So I had seen already a strong precedent for these insights being successfully applied to public policy, and there were also a number of government agencies, like the Department of Labor, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Education, who had all also successfully applied behavioral science"

"And so I made it my goal to create a team really modeled off of the U.K.’s Behavioural Insights Team because I had seen it obviously be quite successful in that institutional form."

And Robbie Barbero's department worked with the development of biological "dual-use" and "gain-of-function" technology, the regulation of it, the ethics of it, human genome sequencing, technology that finds itself at the science of transhumanism:

Biotechnology: The Potential and Perils of Innovation

Council on Foreign Relations, June 22, 2016

https://www.cfr.org/event/biotechnology-potential-and-perils-innovation

"I think Robbie Barbero at OSTP around the topic of regulation...that’s the Office of Science and Technology Policy in the White House. And I think Drew is correct, at the White House and at the director of NIH and the director of CDC, those are the leaders that will put together the policy pillars For the United States."

"starting with the Asilomar 1975 meeting when scientists themselves said, whoa, genetic engineering, if we alter viruses, what might happen? Let’s all come together and make a rule book. That went on for some time, and some permutations. Then in early 2000s, we had Dual Use Research of Concern, DURC, arose, because of deliberate modifications of flu viruses that were going on to make super-virulent viruses and to determine how likely they were to infect human cells. This raised a mountain of concerns among bioterrorism and national security experts, and brought all these issues to the fore again.

Then, this similar pattern arose just a few years later, with so-called Gain-of-Function research, or GOF, the idea that you would deliberately insert a genetic capacity into a microorganism in order to see if that made it more virulent or that made it more transmissible across a broader range of species. Once again, all the red flags went up. Everybody freaked out. The same debate over and over again. And now here we are in the next stage of the revolution. And I think Drew’s absolutely right. We don’t have a learning curve. We have a very tiny cluster of people in most of the key high-tech countries in the world who, when we have meetings, we see familiar faces. Oh, right, I saw you ten years ago at the DURC meeting. You know, here we are again. And yet, we don’t seem as—Drew’s metaphor is perfect—we don’t see as we did with nuclear, both fusion and fusion research, a permanent raising of the bar of the discussion so that each layer is a learning curve over the prior, and the sort of assumptions among nations improve."

Now, why is Biotech and Behavioral Science being developed and deployed on the the American people (and the world) under the same umbrella a big deal? What is Bioterror? It's a little bit of biology, like a DURC virus released into the public with a coordinated campaign of behavioral science-based NPI fear amplification, aka terrorism. To intentionally spread fear is definitionally terrorism.

Meaning, that the US's own Office of Science and Technology Policy birthed a bioterror attack on the US and the world, with the result of ushering in totalitarian governments all over the world, particularly in the western liberal democracies that had no history of it.

And while Shankar's SBST was disbanded when the Trump administration took office, it reconstituted itself under the General Services Administration as the Office of Evaluaton Services (OES) where it promotes, "Evidence-based program changes" - like "evidence-based science" of mask mandates, lockdowns, social distancing, vax mandates (including those with natural immunity), gender reassignment of children.

https://oes.gsa.gov/about/

And no doubt is involved in the latest evidence-based program, "evidence-based reality" as described by the Aspen Institute's Commission on Information Disorder:

https://www.aspeninstitute.org/programs/commission-on-information-disorder/

"3 - How government, private industry, and civil society can work together in the short term to help protect underrepresented groups, and engage disaffected populations who have lost faith in evidence-based reality"

You don't need a Ministry of Truth when you have a Commission on Information Disorder defining reality. And what if someone doesn't have faith in "evidence-based reality" (aka, propaganda)? Well, of course, they by definition are delusional, are, well, insane. And when government Behavioral Health departments (that have exploded in numbers and funding across the nation in the past few years) are able to diagnose citizens as insane because they don't have faith in "evidence-based reality" they can do whatever the law allows them to do to the insane. Totalitarian regimes like the Third Reich do horrible things to the insane. Lawfully. Which is why all of this story, the threads merging together is a big, big, big deal.

This was a wonderful genuine conversation. There's a great YA book by Paulo Bacigalupi called The Doubt Factory that would be great for high school students. About pharma's playbook. Your class might have a chance of waking old school liberals up. I know lots of people trapped at the edges of progressivism, who don't agree, necessarily, but who are embedded in jobs where they must accept wokeish ideas, and who think the only other alternative is being right wing. It is a weird binary, very left brain and simplistic. They think we've betrayed them and become like Moonies. I keep barraging some people as they work with young athletes or have adolescent sons. Terrifying. There needs to be a "clowns to the left of me jokers to the right" space! Such an inspirational conversation!

If only I could get people I know to watch it who've been duped by the globalist propaganda. I've been walled-off for nearly two years and labelled an 'extremist' and 'conspiracy theorist' for daring to question the 'experts' and the 'authorities' who, of course, always 'know best.'

A vital point that is overlooked, altogether ignored or purposefully kept out of these discussions by many in the "Covid skeptic" movement, and especially those who have the biggest megaphones, is the simple fact that there was no pandemic- period.

A deeper dive into the history of these frauds, starting with the HIV/AIDS scandal, is essential to understanding the trajectory and operations of these "health emergencies" and the present day workings of the "Covid" fraud.

If this is not properly understood then there is fertile ground for yet "another response", "a better response" etc. for the next invented "pandemic." This then means the merry-go-round spins ad infinitum.

What must be understood is that all of these "health emergencies" are founded on fraud, money laundering and racketeering.

The propaganda is not simply limited to "how the pandemic was handled" or the countless peripheral aspects of the fraud- it is foundational to the creation of the very thing itself.

That the "Covid pandemic" was able to produce the cadavers this time (unlike the Swine Flu hoax of 2009) by killing the poor, mentally disabled and fragile elderly via policy and mass medical slaughter should make it even more imperative to investigate how and why all of that was done rather than persisting with the Big Lie that there ever was a pandemic.

That this is not front and center of the many discussions amongst 'Covid skeptics' is quite troubling.

Asserting a priori that there was a pandemic serves as cover for these ugly crimes.

So it's far more important that the people finally understand that the authorities are evil.

High 5 to the useful idiots that have been bleating "Russian Collusion" for 5 years. Now we all get to enjoy the good old days of worrying that a nuclear bomb can blow up anywhere, at anytime - or maybe, we'll get to see one actually go off, and not in an underground nuclear test.

I do miss my childhood of the 1970s and 1980's, what with the great films like

* Colossus: The Forbin Project

* Logan's Run

* A Boy and His Dog

* War Games

* Red Dawn

* When the Wind Blows

* On the Beach (caught that on PBS as a kid since it was filmed before my time)

* Planet of the Apes

* Mad Max (well, that really was about oil depletion, something we're artificially experiencing now)

* Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb - a classic "comedy"

Now children will get to enjoy the fun and excitement that I did, thinking the world could be blown up any second as lunatics like a dementia ridden senile, hair sniffing, weirdo is "president". Oh, it's going to be so fun kiddies, constant background terror is a great way to grow up.

Thank you easily controlled dupes that still think television has "news" on it, even though it clearly hasn't for 30 years, and perhaps longer.

The sheep on Animal Farm have "won". I want to express sincere thanks to the boomer generation that practiced absolutely no civic duty whatsoever and believed the propaganda for their entire lives.

Remember so long as the US remains at war the public will rally around the state because it must be defended and there will be no reform, even when we are obviously lied into war after war. As long as you continue doing your jobs, and nothing else ignoring everything around you, the state has complete freedom to do whatever they wish. As long as you are ignorant, there is no risk to the state at all, no pressure whatsoever to reform. As long as we remain divided we can never cooperate or form any sort of resistance.

War is Peace

Freedom is Slavery

Ignorance is Strength

Diversity is Strength

Now you actually understand the book that was required reading for me. None of those statements are contradictory, they were written by the Inner Party, and all those statements are absolutely true, for the Inner Party.

Congratulations on losing the entire nation that we purposelessly fought WWII for.

the example of global warming is interesting...

that we have a claimed defined problem and then we have proposed demanded solutions which build off of this claimed problem...

that there seems to be a total disconnect between the notion that having some validity of a problem does not by default justify a claimed solution...

that this issue has descended into an either/or, one side justified by a call for social justice supporting solutions without the robustness of the consideration if the solution has any real worthiness in solving the problem...

then the other side perceiving that many of the proposed publicly funded solutions are at best driven by greed and at worse play into a dark overall social agenda such that perceiving this leads to blind proof that the problem must be by default be totally bogus...

I like to say that "Covid" has currently replaced Al Qaeda and the "Pandemic" is the current iteration of the now retired "War on Terror."

What I'm speaking to with my previous comment is that the "pandemic" fraud(s) that is currently being catapulted by some well meaning "Covid skeptics" is not an epidemiological event and never was. Many "in the know" are still trapped in the pandemic narrative even as they wish it were "handled better." This omission serves to cover up the larger crimes.

I'm simply talking about the fact that all facets of the official narrative of "Covid" is a fiction. It is an intelligence operation meant to provide cover for the controlled demolition of the insolvent Western economies and the installation of a "new" system of control.

As long as good people continue to assert that this manufactured crisis was in fact an actual epidemiological event the ghouls that concocted this lie will have fertile ground to create the next one- which rest assured is in the pipeline.

"Covid" is the engineered destabilization of the global economy.

"COVID-19", the operation, is essentially a cover-up for systematic debt-leveraged monetary expansion.

"Covid-19", the disease, is nothing more than a disease of ATTRIBUTION to other causes.

No, we're moving on to the Cold War 2.0, or possibly World War III.

Now that we have senile old geezers like Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden in control, who are only years, maybe really months away from dying, this doesn't feel like a precarious time at all...

It's funny, I remember thinking that Vasili Kuznetsov, Konstantin Chernenko, Vasili Kuznetsov, and Andrei Gromyko were frightfully old people to have a finger on a nuclear weapon. I guess I can hope for a Soviet style collapse at least.

This is the key, to question and insist on proof that SARS is the cause of Covid19. The ones who know about AZT/AIDS are the most aware. Just about everyone, including the mRNA/pandemic skeptics believe that HIV is the cause of AIDS. Never been proven, not even close.

There is a video series that addresses the SARS virus as the assumed cause: "The Viral Delusion" the two-hour Episode 1 is free to all and downloadable. If enough people understand this, then it will be more difficult to push a future fake pandemic.

The body cam footage wasn't allowed as evidence, nor was his prior arrest.
