Thanks for all of these. As an old fart, I've been entirely too scared & angry lately about what's happening and so it's remarkably refreshing and hopeful to see the beginnings of an intelligent protest culture/movement developing in response. I remember the protests and protest music and art of the 60's, imo a much happier, more joyful time despite the war, racism and poverty, and am so grateful to see a strong, positive spirit sprouting up against the current sophisticated, high-tech, nearly global anti-life b.s. They will try to destroy the culture and so we must support everything that strengthens and lifts us up.
The new songs are great; and so too are the old songs. Strikingly relevant are some songs from long long ago, when fear mongering was just as prevalent as it is today...when we were advised to lock ourselves down in some fallout shelter for fear of the bomb. If you used the word "virus" instead of "war" in some of the lyrics of Dylan's 1963 song "Let Me Die in My Footsteps," you get a pretty relevant and powerful message about today's state of the world, where the masters of war (a war of propaganda, a war against reason and truth) continue trying to drive us underground, in silence and fear. Some of us, as the song suggests, will not be driven down in fear, or silenced:
I will not go down under the ground
’Cause somebody tells me that death’s comin’ ’round
An’ I will not carry myself down to die
When I go to my grave my head will be high
Let me die in my footsteps
Before I go down under the ground...
I don’t know if I’m smart but I think I can see
When someone is pullin’ the wool over me....
There’s always been people that have to cause fear
They’ve been talking of the [virus] now for [about two] years
I have read all their statements and I’ve not said a word

Here's a playlist I made, many of these songs are older, but all still relevant. Enjoy! https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLY5Ex5KxtqlJS87822szXqOr0fFnvWpSl

Before I go down under the ground
Marilyn manson has a lot of material that deals with groupthink pressure and the pressure to conform. He deals with hypocrisy esp in authority figures

The drugs they say
To make us feel so hollow
We love in vain
Narcissistic and so shallow
The cops and queers
To swim you have to swallow
Hate today
No love for tomorrow
