Excellent article, thank you! I don't mean to be obtuse but I don't understand how the author standing in front of those buildings proves anything? What am I missing? Please fill me in. Because I know what we're being fed by the msm is lies all lies but I just don't get that part of the article - and I want to share it but I'm pretty sure others will ask my same question. I'm sure the light will go on when someone explains it to me - thank you!

I have lived in Donetsk since 2014. I am here now. That I am in the photos PROVES the attacks were against targets in Donetsk, NOT in nazi-controlled Ukraine.

Ahhhhhhh thank you so much for this - I totally missed it!!

Thanks, Texas. It's unlikely that a reader knows your history and/or current or previous location. A picture of you somewhere is not proof of anything, to an uninitiated reader.

It might help to clarify your refutation in the article if you said that explicitly: "The Nazis claimed their picture was taken in location A. Here is a picture of me standing in the spot of the attack in the picture--this is in location Q."

Expand full comment

It does in fact say that exactly, in the article. Any "reader" who actually reads the article as opposed to just looking at the pictures would know that.

Expand full comment

Thanks, Tex. Just trying to help you, bud. If you notice in the comments here, several "readers" mentioned the same confusion. For every 1 "reader" who comments, there are probably 100 who you lost with the confused description.

You might think the text says that, you may have had that in your head when you wrote it, but, believe me, the text is confusing and does not say that.

But, sure do appreciate your tip!

Tom, At the moment, I have Telegram and VK. My Youtube chan was deleted 2 months ago, which had been my main media platform. For now, TG and VK are where I am posting, but I am planning on a big expansion in my info work in the next month or so. VK is Russian Facebook, but without the censorship. A LOT of Westerners are moving there. The quality of news, discourse and people is orders of magnitude higher than FB. It is well worth checking out. Telegram is a secure (encrypted) messaging system that also works like Twitter. There are excellent groups for news on most interesting subjects, and again, no censorship.

"The headlines in red across the top - "Russia kills 400 in Mariupol, Kiev prepares for Russian attack".

Then "two cannisters of cluster bomb submunitions actually detonated when they hit about 500 meters from the Administration Building, on University Avenue in central Donetsk and had the missile reached its target the death toll would have been in the hundreds. Maybe you would believe me, maybe some would not. But I can show you two photos that prove it. [photo] Me, standing on the same spot as the grieving husband in the La Stampa photo."

In other words, the Italian article claimed the photo was of Mariupol but Bentley says the location of the photo is central Donetsk.

I distrust all media- esp. when they are all singing the same tune. It makes sense after what we’ve seen the past three years that the goal is getting Putin out to replace him with a Globalist. The photos do cause a hesitation. Photo shop can put anyone anywhere.

I had the same question.

Expand full comment

The location of the article says it was Mariupol. I assume the real location is elsewhere, in Donesk?

Expand full comment

The intent of the article is great, but it looks like a rush job. It could do with a lot of polishing.

Expand full comment

My question exactly. It would be good to hear actual refutation of claims. A picture of a dude (the author) standing in THE SAME SPOT as a picture of damage/attack is NOT refuting the claims of others.

Thanks.

Expand full comment

It is a refutation of the claim that the attack depicted in the newspaper article photo took place in a completely different part of the country.

Expand full comment

I (and I'm guessing many other readers) do NOT know where the writer is/was/will be. For his presence to refute the false claims, he must say: "Here I am in city A, where I live, at the site shown in the picture. The publishers of the picture claimed this site was in City Y."

Thanks.

Expand full comment

He does write that, although not in those exact words.

Expand full comment

Well, almost in those exact words. The point of the article, (and BIG THANKS to Mark for running it) is that these are examples of Western media using photos of Ukrainian attacks against Donetsk and implying they were photos of Russian attacks on Ukraine. It is actually stated clearly several times in the article. I am surprised people have such a hard time understanding the point. Maybe if they actually READ the article instead of just looking at the pictures they would not be so confused...

Expand full comment

I admit I had to read the article a few times before I grasped the point you were making, but I was motivated to do so because I'm interested in discovering what's really going on in Ukraine. Short attention spans and the desire to be simply told what to think prevent too many people from discovering what they need to learn.

Expand full comment

I READ the article, Tex, and do understand your points about perpetrator and location after referring back over some of the article text as I went along. I had to do that because it wasn't obvious in the flow. These people aren't attacking you, they are trying to clarify, understand, and avoid being manipulated by political arguments made by someone claiming to know a truth, which seems to be the entire lesson of your article. Reading your petty retorts because you're sensitive about your writing is counterproductive.

You are right... I think it will be Catholic Church, when God gives us true Pope, and he consecrate Russia to Immaculate Heart of Mary.

This will change, but when?

It didn't please God

Great question.

First, I am in a rare group... we say we are Catholics, we love papacy. But we say, no pope sinceOctober1958. . a non Catholic can't become Pope. (Perennial Catholic teaching on papacy... one reason... a Catholic cannot accept heresy. Also, a Catholic must submit to the Pope on teachings of faith and morals.

So what happens if a non Catholic wins the votes in a conclave?

What makes sense to you?

Divine law: he ain't Pope. Period.

1.2 billion people think they are Catholic. They are either accepting heresy, or rejecting the man they call pope on teachings of faith and morals.

There are 200k Catholics... and we have virtually no property.

My parents are dedicated Catholics. I was visiting them when the fake pope performed the pseudo consecration. My mom was on the edge of her seat, and said “he did it” and I said but mom he included Ukraine too, that was not part of it. She’s not awake but they know there’s something very off about the whole situation. But they blindly live in a bubble of Catholics that don’t see the bigger truth, although that is just my humble opinion. I don’t know either.

Catch 22 of heresy / schism , both of which puts you outside the Catholic Church, if you accept a heretic as Pope.

Many good people in church headed by Francis.... objectively they can't be Catholic because of catch 22.

Expand full comment

Lynn, have you had a chance to read Russell's piece? IS "Russia bomb[ing] the heck out of Ukraine and its people"? If you have evidence aside from the assertions by the media, feel free to present it.

Expand full comment

Can we agree that Russia invaded Ukraine? So, what are they doing there? Just driving around? There appears to be fighting going on and lives are being lost on both sides. Anyway, if they had stopped the invasion at Donbass, many people may have said that the Russians were only protecting the Russian-speaking population there who were being hammered by the Ukrainian army, according to some reports. However, the Russians didn't stop there. And that's where they crossed the line and lost the support of many; they went from potential defenders to misguided invaders. This looks like a war for resources and access. This is not to say that funny business isn't going on by all sides. Biden appeared to invite Russia to invade, "a minor incursion", which reminds one of how the invasion of Kuwait by Iraq was also encouraged, reportedly, by U.S. Ambassador April Glaspie.

Expand full comment

You need to watch the commentaries by Scott Ritter, Col. Doug McGregor and Gonzalo Lira, as well as Russell's interviews. Between them they answer your questions, which are clearly driven by a glancing familiarity with the prevailing propaganda drive. Russians forces have NOT been indiscriminately bombing in Ukraine, as their aim is neither to destroy the infrastructure nor to kill civilians. In fact, they have been holding back, militarily, because of those disinclinations.

Expand full comment

So what is Russia's aim? Nation rehabilitation? And who are they to force such a thing on others?

The US government planned and funded a coup that overthrew the elected Ukrainian government in 2014 and installed the current "leader" Zelensky. They along with NATO puppets also funded and equipped the Neo-Nazi Azov battalion which has been incorporated into the Ukrainian military. As for the Biden Regime, it was installed in a massive coup and stolen election in 2020 and should therefore be viewed as an illegitimate Occupation Government controlled by the vile and evil NeoCons who are really calling the shots in the Ukrainian war. Put another way, the Ukrainian war is 100% caused by the NeoCon criminals who are waging a proxy war against Russia because Russia refused to submit to their global control agenda. The Ukrainians, Americans and most people of the western world are the real victims of this NeoCon death cult. And if these criminals are not stopped, the entire world is staring into the face of nuclear war. Because for Russia, this is an existential war of survival against the forces of unspeakable evil and darkness embodied in the NeoCons, Klaus Schwab, the WEF, globalists and the International Criminal Banking Cabal that controls the value of our currencies and therefore our labor.

It's a bit like trying to defend the invasion of the US Southern border by unrestricted immigration. The intended result of the unrestricted border and the Ukrainian situation both are directly intended to distract, deceive and cause maximum distraction at home and abroad.

No one hopefully has has the right to invade other countries and murder people. The USA has invaded so many countries and murdered so many as to put the Ukrainian war in possible perspective. The situation is explosive, diabolical and the intent of it is pure evil - especially on the side of the US. It depends on whether in fact we the people of the USA took sides in the many wars of aggression played out by our government and whether we in fact supported violence. Whether Putin has or does not have the right is interesting however the larger question to be raised by us Americans is this. Does Biden and our military industrial complex have the right to put Russia/Putin in a trap? Putin’s “choice” is to accept the Nazi Terrorists of the Ukraine who have ruthlessly killed their Russian citizens and directly threaten Putin and the Russians. Moreover we have Biden and cohorts on live TV well before 2000 articulating the design of this exact plot/scenario. The current Ukrainian government was conveniently installed in a coup with full US support.

Most people, particularly those who write these Substacks, are super overloaded and pick their reply spots accordingly. You wear out your welcome fast by your approach. The virus topic alone would get exhausting very quickly with a lot of back and forth that would end up proving nothing.

I also recall you copping to being an alcoholic and when you really get going you sound like one on a full toot. This is not meant to be an insult, just an observation. People generally are not going to be likely to engage with that.

Great article Mark and txs to Russel too!

Nice idea to take those shots in the same place as propaganda news.

La Stampa is owned by Fiat, that after joined Fiat/Chrysler, is now called Stellantis after the venture with Peugeot. Fiat also owns La Repubblica, il Corriere della Sera, so Fiat actually own all the principal newspaper and the boss is the american native John Elkan... It would be like NYT, WP and ... were all of Bezos.

But if you look at history, the problem is the corner were Soviet Union was pushed to by US Propaganda machine after the WWII. In "Killing Hope" there is the story of that Propaganda, especially regarding the USSR run to arms that was a Fake News spread worldwide to put pressure on US citizens to spend more money in arms and fear of the ultra armed USSR to the rest of the world.

But actually as the historian write, USSR was to too busy to recover (as all Eu was) from the heavy war against Nazi, not the light one that US played just at the end..., paying also the highest tribute with millions and millions of russian deaths. They had to rebuild the economy and infrastructures and so on they piratically couldn't put all efforts on arms as US instead, untouched by the WWII and Nazi, did!

What really scares me at the moment after 2 months of RU invasion, is the idea in many american or italian or european citizens, that Russia and Putin are still socialist or communist...

It means that here in the West we have to deal with bilions of IDIOTS that don't even check on Wiki if Russia is still communist... And this is terrible and alarming: almost half of the world population is psychotic to a level that need psychiatric surgery!

An easy task fro US Propaganda machine to spread disinformation and fake news on anything they wake up with...

My neighbour came by yesterday and I had not spoken to them for many months so naturally Ukraine came up (she is a retiree - someone I would say is in the grip of most mainstream narratives)

She said "what is wrong with Putin? He must be insane - he believes that Nazis are in Ukraine". Poor woman. She had not done the most basic of research and believed what lies the mainstream had told her. This ignorance is what we have to fight against.

I told her that a Ukrainian collegue informed me all about Maidan when we worked together in 2017 and recommended me watch Ukraine on Fire (produced by Oliver Stone) I told her how Stepan Bandera was put forward by Zelensky as a national hero in Ukraine even though he collaborated with Hitler. She couldn't believe what I was saying (just like she couldn't believe event 201 had taken place in October 2019) Like many westerners, she is spoonfed her information and does not seek out facts herself.

The Azov Battalion leaders are paid well to gather former soccer hooligans and put them in uniforms, attacking conservative Russia on behalf of the globalists, calling this nationalism.
