Ohio State is requiring every student, faculty and staff member to be vaccinated against COVID-19 with an FDA approved vaccine. The university will also accept a vaccine that has received Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) from the FDA or Emergency Use Listing (EUL) by the World Health Organization (WHO) to fulfill this requirement.

Pele's cancer worsens, will stay in hospital over Christmas

Pele, 82, is being treated in the general ward but "requires greater care related to renal and cardiac dysfunctions," said the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo.
Considered by many to be the greatest footballer of all time, Pele was hospitalized in Sao Paulo on November 29 for what his medical team called a re-evaluation of his chemotherapy treatments, which he has been receiving since having surgery to remove a colon tumor in September 2021.
Doctors have also diagnosed Pele -- whose real name is Edson Arantes do Nascimento -- with a respiratory infection.

MLB world reacts to horrible Carlos Correa news

The San Francisco Giants and star shortstop Carlos Correa agreed to a massive 13-year, $350 million deal earlier this month, but an update on Tuesday may put this deal on hold for the moment.
According to The Associate Press, two people with “direct knowledge of the situation” revealed that the San Francisco Giants have postponed an introductory press conference on Tuesday of their signing of Correa after a medical concern emerged during his physical.
While the Giants organization did not provide an official reason for the postponement of the press conference, one of the sources reported that a medical issue was flagged during Correa’s physical.

WWE Hall of Famer Koko B. Ware is currently in the hospital. The news was announced on the official Twitter account of The Wrestling Collection, a branding and creative agency owned by Ted Dibiase Jr. that lists Ware as one of its notable clients along with Ted Dibiase Sr., "I.R.S." Mike Rotunda, and the estates of Junkyard Dog and King Kong Bundy.

In 2012, the Denver Broncos selected running back Ronnie Hillman in the 3rd round of the NFL Draft. He proceeded to play for the team for four seasons and won a Super Bowl in 2015, the last year with the team and having Peyton Manning at quarterback.
Today it was announced by a retired NFL Vet and host of 1043TheFan Orlando Franklin that Ronnie Hillman is in hospice care and not doing well.
Ronnie Hillman is 31 years old and, according to former teammates Derek Wolfe and Orlando Franklin, battling “bad liver cancer.”

Ohio State's Avery Henry announces bone cancer diagnosis

Ohio State offensive lineman Avery Henry has been diagnosed with a form of bone cancer, he announced Monday.
Henry, a freshman from St. Clairsville, Ohio, said he recently was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a bone cancer most commonly found in teenagers and young adults.
"I will fight this!" Henry wrote on Twitter. "I have never been a statistic and I never will! I want to thank my brothers and coaches for the endless support!"

Fears for Gianluca Vialli as family race to his bedside after second cancer diagnosis

Concerns are growing for the health of Gianluca Vialli after members of his family travelled to visit him in a London hospital, according to Italian media reports.
The former Chelsea player and manager is battling pancreatic cancer after being re-diagnosed with the disease in 2021.
The 58-year-old stepped down from his coaching role with the Italy squad last week and his 87-year-old mother Maria Teresa and his brother Nino travelled to be with him over the weekend before returning to Italy on Monday, Corriere della Sera reported.
Vialli was first diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2017 but after being treated at the Royal Marsden Hospital he announced in April 2020 that he had been given the all-clear.

Cancer, cancer and more cancer. This report is amazingly sad. How many people that are not “famous” are suffering from similar cancers?
