Cancer in people under 50 is rising around the world. Why?
September 25, 2022
We know what we need to do to reduce our risk of getting cancer, right? Wear SPF, stop smoking, avoid processed foods, keep fit, lose weight and get enough sleep. But what if much of what causes cancer has already happened in our early years, or worse still, before we were born. A recent study from Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard University says that may be the case, especially in cancers that happen before the age of 50 (early-onset cancers). The most important finding in this study, published in Nature Reviews Clinical Oncology, is that people born after 1990 are more likely to develop cancer before the age of 50 than people born, for example, in 1970. Meaning that young people will be more heavily burdened by cancer than generations gone by, with the knock-on effects on healthcare, economics and families. What we are exposed to in early life can affect our risk of developing cancer later in life, and this review of cancer trends looks at how these factors might be affecting early-onset cancers. What exposures matter in early life are still not fully clear, but front-runners include diet, lifestyle, the environment and the bugs that live in our gut (the microbiome).
Study: Women over 65 increasingly dying from cervical cancer
January 10, 2023
Davis, CA - More women 65 and older are battling late-stage cervical cancer and dying from the disease, according to a new study released by the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center. From 2009 to 2018, nearly one in five new cervical cancers diagnosed were in women 65 and older. "Our findings highlight the need to better understand how current screening guidelines might be failing women 65 and over," the study's lead author, UC Davis senior statistician Julianne Cooley, said. "We need to focus on determining the past screening history of older women as well as lapses in follow-up care. We must utilize non-invasive testing approaches for women nearing age 65 or those who need to catch up on their cervical cancer screenings." The study found that 71% of women aged 65 and older presented with late-stage disease compared to 45% of younger women. Late-stage five-year relative survival was lower for women 65 and older at 23.2%-36.8%, compared to younger age groups at 41.5%-51.5%. Among women older than 65, those who had comorbidities were more likely to be diagnosed with the late-stage disease and women older than 80 had the lowest survival rate of all groups. "Our study found worsening five-year relative survival from cervical cancer with each increasing age category for both early and late-stage diagnoses," said co-author Theresa Keegan. The introduction of the Papanicolaou, or Pap, smear test in the 1940s caused cervical cancer incidence and mortality to fall significantly but incidence rates plateaued in 2012 and rates of invasive cervical cancer have been on the rise since.

As an Oncologist I Am Seeing People With Stable Cancer Rapidly Progress After Being Forced to Have a Booster
November 26, 2022
There follows a letter from Dr. Angus Dalgleish, Professor of Oncology at St George’s University of London, to Dr. Kamran Abbasi, the Editor in Chief of the BMJ. It was written in support of a colleague’s plea to Dr. Abbasi that the BMJ make valid informed consent for Covid vaccination a priority topic:
Dear Kamran Abbasi: Covid no longer needs a vaccine programme given the average age of death of Covid in the U.K. is 82 and from all other causes is 81 and falling. The link with clots, myocarditis, heart attacks and strokes is now well accepted, as is the link with myelitis and neuropathy. (We predicted these side effects in our June 2020 QRBD article Sorensen et al. 2020, as the blast analysis revealed 79% homologies to human epitopes, especially PF4 and myelin.) However, there is now another reason to halt all vaccine programmes. As a practising oncologist I am seeing people with stable disease rapidly progress after being forced to have a booster, usually so they can travel. Even within my own personal contacts I am seeing B cell-based disease after the boosters. They describe being distinctly unwell a few days to weeks after the booster – one developing leukaemia, two work colleagues Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and an old friend who has felt like he has had Long Covid since receiving his booster and who, after getting severe bone pain, has been diagnosed as having multiple metastases from a rare B cell disorder. I am experienced enough to know that these are not the coincidental anecdotes that many suggest, especially as the same pattern is being seen in Germany, Australia and the USA.

March 14, 2023
Robin Roberts shared that her fiancée, Amber Laign, is doing “excellent” amid her battle with breast cancer. “It was a rough year,” the “Good Morning America” anchor, 62, told “Entertainment Tonight” Tuesday. “Her journey with breast cancer took some unexpected twists and turns, but she is doing really, really, really well.” Roberts – who is a breast cancer survivor herself – explained that doctors had to “find the right fit for [Laign] with treatment.” “The prognosis is excellent, and she’s just ready to start a new chapter as well,” she continued. The positive update comes after Roberts revealed in April 2022 that her partner of 18 years had to suspend her radiation treatments due to “complications with the chemotherapy. The prognosis is excellent, and she’s just ready to start a new chapter as well,” the “GMA” anchor gushed. Laign was diagnosed with breast cancer in late 2021. Fortunately, Laign was able to complete radiation three months later.

Marvel Actor Eka Darville's Son Has Brain Cancer, Launches Fundraiser for Treatment
March 14, 2023
Jessica Jones actor Eka Darville's son Mana is battling cancer. The Marvel actor, who is next set to appear in Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, revealed the heartbreaking news in a Monday, March 13 Instagram post that his young son was diagnosed with an "extremely rare" and "very aggressive" type of brain cancer. A GoFundMe page created to help Darville and his family cover the expenses of Mana's medical care explained that Mana's health crisis began in July 2022 when "Mana collapsed on the beach with a massive seizure that left the right side of his body paralyzed." Mana was initially misdiagnosed with Focal Cortical Dysplasia, and while all efforts were made to stop the seizures, Darville said his son "continued to suffer daily uncontrolled episodes." It wasn't until Mana was rushed to the emergency room on January 18, 2023 "an MRI revealed two large masses in Mana's brain; one the size of a peach and the other a walnut. Tumors, now growing across the surface of our son's brain." Mana was immediately rushed into a 13-hour surgery, but doctors were only able to successfully remove 60% of one mass. According to Darville, the specific type of cancer his son is battling is unknown.

Sam Neill Reveals Stage-3 Blood Cancer Diagnosis in New Memoir
March 17, 2023
Jurassic Park and Peaky Blinders star Sam Neill revealed in his upcoming memoir that he underwent treatment for a stage-three blood cancer diagnosis last year. He’s now cancer-free, but the book details how the ordeal impacted his outlook on life. The memoir, Did I Ever Tell You This? will be released on Tuesday, March 21. The 75-year-old shares details of his angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma diagnosis and treatment in it. He opened up more about his feelings about mortality and more in a new interview with The Guardian. Neill first noticed a symptom of blood cancer (swollen glands) while doing press for Jurassic World Dominion in March of 2022. After his initial chemotherapy treatment started to fail, he began taking a “very expensive” chemotherapy drug that helped him get to his current cancer-free status. But he will continue to receive the medication monthly for the rest of his life. Neil also reveals that he signed a deal with the drug company that if he were still alive after four months of taking it, the medication would then become free.

Husband was severely injured from Pfizer poison. He has been struggling every second since May2021. Friends and family have suffered blood clots, heart problems, cancer coming back or new cancer, enlarged spleen, vertigo, strokes, and much more! All after the poison jab!!
Thank you Mark for continuing to point out the astonishing rise in cancers since the jabs began! Profit over health, history repeats. Yes there are many ways to decrease your risk of getting cancer, as you've mentioned. Processed foods are another "profit over health" story. I find it interesting that "wear SPF" still makes it to the top of this prevention list. It is loaded with toxic, cancer causing chemicals absorbed by your largest organ, the skin. It restricts vitamin D absorption and outbreaks of rickets in children has been linked to excessive SPF use. Additionally, low vitamin D levels have been attributed to disease manifestation. It is also a fabulous profit maker for the chemicals industry with no care for what affects their products have on our health. Concerns about the sun's hazards may well be overblown to drive up SPF profits while there are natural solutions available. Coconut oil being one of them. If only we could more better comprehend the ingredients list on the products we use. Seems to be a bit of an iron curtain but very much worth questioning
