Sarah Sanders undergoes surgery for thyroid cancer
September 16, 2022
Little Rock, Ark. — Former White House press secretary Sarah Sanders, who is running for governor in Arkansas, underwent surgery Friday for thyroid cancer. Sanders announced she underwent the surgery after a biopsy earlier this month revealed that she had thyroid cancer. “Today, I underwent a successful surgery to remove my thyroid and surrounding lymph nodes and by the grace of God I am now cancer-free," Sanders said in a statement released by her campaign. “I want to thank the Arkansas doctors and nurses for their world-class care, as well as my family and friends for their love, prayers, and support." Sanders said she looked forward to returning to the campaign trail soon.
Sanders, who served as former President Donald Trump's spokeswoman until 2019, is running against Democratic nominee Chris Jones. She is the daughter of former Gov. Mike Huckabee. A doctor for Sanders said in a statement that he expected her to be back on her feet within the next 24 hours. Dr. John R. Sims said Sanders will need adjuvant treatment with radioactive iodine and continued long follow up care. “I think it's fair to say she's now cancer free, and I don't anticipate any of this slowing her down," Sims said.

High School Cross Country Runner Recovering After Suffering a Heart Attack During a Race
September 14, 2022
A Memphis, TN, area high school cross country runner is currently recovering from emergency heart surgery in Florida after suffering a heart attack at a race, according to local reports. Bartlett High School cross country coach Kris Harman could tell something was wrong when 17-year-old Gabe Higginbottom finished the 5K race at the Gulf Coast Stampede over the weekend in Pensacola, Florida.
“He started complaining about his chest hurting and kept complaining and we went to the trainer’s tent…everybody initially thinks it’s hot, it’s heat exhaustion so give him ice but he’s still complaining about his chest,” Harman said to News Channel 3 in Memphis. He was sent to Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola Hospital by event staff, before getting transported by helicopter to the UF Shands Heart and Vascular Hospital in Gainesville. Doctors found that the high school junior’s right artery was completely blocked, and they performed an angioplasty to insert a balloon to open up the artery. Later, he underwent a three-hour emergency surgery, where doctors inserted two stents and found two blood clots.

Country music star John Michael Montgomery injured in tour bus crash
September 11, 2022
“Sold” country music star John Michael Montgomery is recovering after his tour bus had a “serious accident” on a Tennessee highway while headed to a North Carolina concert Friday.
Montgomery, who boasts more than 30 singles, said on his Facebook page Saturday that he suffered “some cuts and broken ribs” and would “take some time over the next couple of weeks to heal and be back on the road soon.”
Also injured were Kentucky residents William Salyer and Marc Wood, the Tennessean reported. Only Salyer reportedly didn’t have a seatbelt on.
Montgomery’s 2001 Prevost Featherlite bus was heading south of the city of Jellico on Interstate 75 when it veered off the road and struck an embankment before overturning, the newspaper reported, citing the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
“I am grateful to the medics and highway patrol for their quick response to this difficult situation,” Montgomery, 57, said on Facebook. “Thanks to everyone for their concerns.”
The next concert scheduled for the Kentucky native is Sept. 24 in Indiana, according to his website. The Tennessean reported a show set for Sept. 17 in Texas was scratched.
Some of Montgomery’s hits also include “I Can Love You Like That” and “I Love The Way You Love Me.”

Salem Cross Inn barn in West Brookfield badly damaged in morning SUV crash
September 16, 2022
West Brookfield, MA — The historic barn at Salem Cross Inn on Route 9 cannot be used after it sustained heavy damage when a car drove into the building Friday morning. A 39-year-old man apparently pulled into the parking lot at about 9:15 a.m. but did not stop, instead driving into the wall of the barn ending up completely inside, Acting Police Chief Matthew Letendre said. The man may have suffered a medical problem, Letendre said, adding that he was taken to a hospital by the West Brookfield Rescue Squad with injuries to his face that did not appear life-threatening.
The damage to the barn was extensive, Letendre said. The town's building inspector responded and determined that while the structure was stable, it could not be safely used. The electrical inspector was also called to the scene. Damage to the side of the historic barn at the Salem Cross Inn indicates where a small SUV came to a stop after crashing through the front of the barn. Staff from the Inn were inside preparing for an event but were not injured, Letendre said.

'A little bizarre': Car crashes into Brampton mayoral candidate Nikki Kaur’s campaign office
September 10, 2022
The team of a Brampton mayoral candidate says it’s on edge after a vehicle crashed into its campaign office in the city on Friday night.
A vehicle crashed into Brampton mayoral candidate Nikki Kaur’s office in a plaza in the area of Dixie Road and Clark Boulevard at around 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9.
According to Peel Police Const. Jennifer Dagg, officers were called to the office at around 8:36 p.m. on Sept. 9 following a report of a car hitting the building.
She said in an email that police have deemed the incident as not suspicious and there were no reported injuries.
Noah Zatzman, who is a spokesperson for Kaur’s campaign, says the incident is “a little bizarre” and the team behind the mayoral candidate is “shaken up,” though thankfully no one was inside the office during the incident.
“And I'll just tell you, from my perspective, it's pretty weird to come into a campaign office and work in a war room when a car's been driven through it,” he says. “I can tell you I've never had that in 15 years of doing this.”
A video that appears to have been taken shortly after the crash shows a stopped dark sedan with its front end smashed into the windows of Kaur’s office.
The car appears to have hopped the curb of the parking lot and partially crossed the sidewalk adjacent to Kaur’s office, which shares a plaza with a Rabba Fine Foods, LCBO, Beer Store and a number of other businesses.

I woke up in the ambulance as if wanting to take off my clothes because I was short of breath," the artist recalled in dialogue with La Nación. "The doctors told me that I had a syncope, that my heart stopped for a few minutes. They did an electro and found an arrhythmia, but the rest of the studies gave me good results." "Now I am connected to a Holter monitor for a week for control and follow-up, and I still have some studies to do. In principle, they want to rule out that it is genetic and that it will not happen to me again. Now I feel scared. Sometimes, I go to sleep with the fear of not waking up again. I feel like my body is taking its toll on me," she closed, fearful but grateful for feeling better.

Vaccine damage to health. Compensation for a 16 year old: 750 euros per month for 15 years
September 16, 2022
T., aged 16, will be compensated by the state for the permanent damage of an autoimmune thrombocythemia caused by a dose of the anti Covid vaccine. And he will be entitled to 750 euros per month for 15 years.
The compensation, established on the basis of health tables, is supported by an unassailable report, that of a public health body, the Military Department of Forensic Medicine of La Spezia, which recognized the causal link between vaccination and the autoimmune thrombocythemia reported by the boy a few weeks after receiving a dose of Moderna. According to the technicians, in fact, the pathology reported by the young man is "a serious adverse reaction potentially triggered by the procedure itself even if as a contributing factor in a subject hitherto perfectly healthy" and therefore "the damage is attributable to the eighth category of table A attached to the Presidential Decree December 30, 1981 n 834 "for" permanent impairment of psychophysical integrity ".
The story, made known by Codacons, the association that legally assists the boy even though it has always declared itself in favor of the vaccine, has at the same time launched various legal initiatives so that all citizens damaged by the inoculations could obtain the compensation they are entitled to according to law 210 / 92 according to which "anyone who has reported, due to vaccinations required by law or by order of an Italian health authority, injuries or infirmities, from which a permanent impairment of psycho-physical integrity has resulted, has the right to compensation from the State".
In the case of T. the link seems to have been established without a shadow of a doubt and the compensation procedure taken for granted. If, on the other hand, the ministry raises objections, "we are ready to go into the case", declares Cristina Adducci, a lawyer who for Codacons has followed the young man's story, which will be followed by disputes of hundreds of other serious cases selected among the 5 thousand reports of adverse events more or less serious arrived at the association.
The story of T. and his ordeal starts from afar. He had already been asymptomatically infected during the first wave and waited a year before deciding to get a shot of the vaccine and just to get the green pass. But after a month of inoculation, he feels bad: extensive hematoma on his right arm and neck, "bubbles" of blood on the palate, tongue and inner cheeks. A condition that requires immediate hospitalization due to the collapse of blood platelets (1000 / mm3 out of a minimum value of 150 thousand).
T. leaves the hospital after a month spent in the pediatric oncohematology department of the Aoup "Santa Chiara" in Pisa, with an established diagnosis of autoimmune thrombocytopenia. A suspected pathology, so much so that doctors report the batch number of the vaccine carried out to AIFA to ascertain a correlation with the disease.

All in the last two days:
best friend, 73, (vaxxed, boosted) gets a flu shot, then five days later sick with Covid, his second time in two months.
Neighbor, in seventies, too fatigued to answer door, recovering from Shingles shot the day before.
Another neighbor, 69, related she was so sick after her first shingles shot, she didn't get the second.
These are pro-vax friends who at least will hang out with me (unvaxxed). We've agreed to not argue the topic, but I am so sad for their experiences.
