She returned to the stage singing her original audition song I Dreamed A Dream from Les Miserables with the cast of the West End production. Susan also joined the cast in performing a rendition of Do You Hear The People Sing? After the performance, she said: 'It feels great (to be here). It's extra special for me, last April I suffered a minor stroke and I fought to be back on stage and I have done it.'
Big Brother star Lauren Harries in "induced coma" following seizure
June 5, 2023
Celebrity Big Brother's Lauren Harries has been put into a medically induced coma after experiencing a seizure, it has been announced. On Monday, July 5, a close relative or friend took to Lauren's Twitter to confirm the news that Lauren had suffered a seizure the night before. They wrote: "Last night Lauren had a seizure and doctors have had to put her into an induced coma to get it under control. Lauren needs all your support and wishes, she loves you all." Lauren was admitted into hospital for the surgery on April 14, with Lauren confirming that she nearly died as a result of her illness. However, the cause is still unknown. This seizure is the latest incident.
TV legend Anne Diamond fights back tears as she reveals she has cancer
June 8, 2023
GB News presenter Anne Diamond has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Diamond said her battle against the disease is not over, but she will return to the channel this weekend. In an exclusive interview with Dan Wootton on GB News, Diamond told viewers that the illness has been "a hell of a journey" after going from the "high" of being awarded an OBE, before being diagnosed with breast cancer on the same day. She continued: “I haven’t been on a world cruise, which is what a lot of social media has been saying. It hasn’t been a world cruise, it has been a fight against breast cancer. Five months later, I am still not at the end of that journey, but I am well enough to return to work.”
Michael Bibi, Founder of Solid Grooves, Diagnosed with Cancer
June 6, 2023
Michael Bibi, the London-based house music DJ and producer, has been diagnosed with a rare form of brain and spinal cancer called CNS Lymphoma. On Monday (June 5), both Bibi and his management agency, Prime Culture, made statements sharing that he will be pausing appearances for the time being. “While [Michael] is in treatment, he will be unavailable for any shows for the foreseeable future,” his agency stated on Instagram. One of those shows includes Glastonbury Festival, which Bibi intended to perform at in June. Despite the news, Bibi has been present on social media. “I’m strong & I won’t let this beat me,” he shared in his most recent Instagram post. “I will be back stronger for you all. Love Bibi.” Bibi added that “unfortunately it’s moving fast & l to have to stay in hospital starting treatment immediately. Typing this message doesn’t quite seem real & I’m sorry for the bad news.” The diagnosis comes as a shock to the underground European dance music and club scene. Bibi’s notoriety is due to his unique style of house music, world tours, and current concert residency with Ibiza’s DC10 club.
Witcher community rallies around Geralt actor after cancer diagnosis
June 7, 2023
The Witcher community is rallying around video game actor Doug Cockle after he revealed he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. In a tweet yesterday, Cockle - who plays Geralt of Rivia in all three The Witcher games as well as a number of cameo appearances - said he'd taken a "random check" for the disease, having had "no idea" of his illness before his diagnosis. Cockle said that treatment was "ongoing but looking good so far," and encouraged men over 50 to get tested. The game's community has offered its support for Cockle on social media, with comments on Reddit and Twitter - including one from the official Witcher account - hoping for his swift recovery. Other comments have praised the actor's transparency, reiterating his call to get tested and spread awareness. While Cockle's acting career has continued in a post-Witcher 3 world, his future within the series itself remains uncertain. There's a whole suite of upcoming CD Projekt Red games, including a new Witcher trilogy, but the devs have repeatedly suggested that Geralt's time as the face of the mainline game series might be over. Multiple spin-off games, including the troubled Project Sirirus and a The Witcher remake, are known to be in development, meaning there are still Geralt-shaped roles out there, but hints suggest that a new witcher from a new school might be taking up the mantle in future.
Esther Rantzen reveals her lung cancer is Stage 4: ‘Nobody knows if the medicine is working’
May 26, 2023
Dame Esther Rantzen has given an update on her lung cancer, now revealing it is Stage 4. The TV presenter first announced her cancer diagnosis in January, saying that she no longer wanted to keep her health status a “secret”. “In the last few weeks, I have discovered that I am suffering from lung cancer which has now spread,” she wrote in a statement at the time. “At the moment I am undergoing various tests, to assess the best treatment.” Now, months after undergoing tests, Rantzen told the Daily Mirror that she’s on “new medications”, but “nobody knows if it’s working or not. But I will have a scan fairly soon which will reveal one way or another,” she said. Reflecting on her life, Rantzen said the “diagnosis of Stage 4 lung cancer made me realise how very lucky I’ve been”. For 21 years, between 1973 to 1994, she hosted BBC’s That’s Life! During that time she founded Childline in 1986, a charity promoting child protection. In 2012, she later founded her second charity Silver Line, designed to combat elderly loneliness. “I’m not good at regrets,” Rantzen, 82, admitted. “What I treasure most are the fantastic friendships I have made thanks to That’s Life! during the last 50 years, the people I met, and the team who worked so hard, and laughed so hard, together for so long.”

Sarah Beeny Vs Cancer: release date, synopsis, interview and everything we know
June 6, 2023
Sarah Beeny Vs Cancer follows TV presenter and property expert Sarah Beeny in the wake of her diagnosis with breast cancer in 2022, charting the impact on Sarah and her family as she undergoes treatment and examines the history of breast cancer within her family, as well as potential scientific breakthroughs which could revolutionize cancer treatment in the future. The film was made in support of Stand Up To Cancer, a joint national fundraising campaign between Cancer Research UK and Channel 4, which has raised over £93 million in the UK over the last 10 years, funding 64 clinical trials involving more than 13,000 cancer patients. "When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, there was a moment when I considered not telling anyone in the world, including my husband and children," says Sarah. "Three minutes later, I realized that wasn't going to be possible, and I was overwhelmed by the response I received — which highlighted that I was not alone in having long held a disproportionate fear of breast cancer. So I decided to make this documentary about how far treatment has come in the last 40 years, but also about how it still affects you and those around you both mentally and physically. Ultimately I want to take some of the fear out of the words 'you have breast cancer' and encourage people to seek help as early as possible, giving them the best chance of diagnosis and overcoming the disease."

London Mayor Khan Left ‘Barely Conscious’ Due To Heart Attack Suffered Days After Receiving Covid Booster
May 23, 2023
London Mayor Sadiq Khan revealed in his new book, Breathe, he suffered a heart attack during the 2021 COP26 climate conference in Glasgow, Scotland. Khan explained as he spoke to the COP26 crowd, “out of nowhere, I felt a knot in my chest – a kind of tightening” and he had to be “carried off the stage” while “barely conscious.” The book stated, “My shirt was drenched with sweat and I felt like I was on fire.” According to the Evening Standard, “It is not known what caused Mr. Khan to suddenly fall ill in Glasgow on November 10, 2021. But medical experts have confirmed that the symptoms and aftermath were consistent with a minor heart attack. Mr. Khan spent about seven hours overnight in A&E at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and underwent an electrocardiogram (ECG), which checks the heart’s rhythm and electrical activity, a chest X-ray and several rounds of blood tests.” After learning he had suffered a minor heart attack, the then-51-year-old London mayor wrote in his book, “I couldn’t believe it. I felt fine. I simply didn’t believe I had had a heart attack. The whole situation felt unreal. In a matter of hours, I was due to give perhaps the biggest address of my mayoralty.” It’s worth noting Khan received his first dose of a Covid jab in February 2021 and his booster shot on October 29, 2021, on the same day he got a flu vaccine. Just twelve days after taking both a Covid booster and flu shot on the same day, Khan suffered the heart attack. It’s likely the health scare was kept from the public until now as it would have surely created more skepticism of the experimental mRNA jabs. At the time he got his booster shot, Khan encouraged his fellow Londoners to do the same. He said, “I want to be very clear to all Londoners. This deadly virus has not gone away and this winter we’re facing both flu and Covid. The worst thing we can do is to lower our guard, be complacent and underestimate the risk these viruses pose to all of us.” Of course, it’s now well-known there is an increased risk of heart attacks in people who take the Covid shots, and the FDA recently announced an investigation into whether there’s an increased risk of stroke after taking a flu jab and Covid booster vaccine on the same day, advice that was promoted by the White House as well as Khan. A recent news report highlighted how The American Stroke Association is witnessing an unexplained rise in people under 50 having strokes.

Lukashenko 'passed out' and was 'bleeding from everywhere' in Moscow visit, politician claims
June 3, 2023
Belarus despot Alexander Lukashenko 'passed out' and was 'bleeding from everywhere' after a recent visit to ally Vladimir Putin, startling new claims have alleged. The tyrant was suddenly taken ill in Moscow last month in an incident which is purported to have been covered-up. Now opposition politician Valery Tsepkalo says he has received lurid details of Lukashenko's 'incurable' condition from Russian doctors who were ordered to treat him at the Kremlin hospital. It would have been the second time in a month that the Belarusian leader was taken ill while visiting Putin, triggering claims of poisoning by the Russians. But Tsepkalo says his medical sources indicate Lukashenko, 68, has a serious genetic cardiovascular disease and is expected to 'relapse'. Russian doctors were under orders from the Kremlin to save him at all costs, Tsepkalo said. The Belarus dictator was patched up after falling suddenly ill on 27 May and eventually smuggled home to Minsk, probably by a special train rather than his presidential plane which has toilets made from gold, he told Ukrainian journalist Alesya Bazman, editor-in-chief of news outlet Gordon. Lukashenko had been in Russia last month to meet with Putin and attend meetings for the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. 'I am absolutely convinced that if the Kremlin wanted to poison him, they would have already poisoned him,' said Tsepkalo, a lawyer, former deputy foreign minister and presidential candidate. 'That's why they did everything possible to save him.'
Maybe more striking than the celebrities with fatal and serious illnesses is the impact the low- and mid-level disabilities from c shots have had on the regular workforce. Does anyone know a restaurant or a factory that isn't looking for workers? And the people who are filling the spots left by the wounded, dutiful shot-takers are people who hadn't been working, but what the heck, they're willing to step up for the new $17/hr entry-level no-skills-required work. In the white-collar world, employees who haven't been too badly disabled to work are walking around with brain fog, sick all the time and catching every bug that goes around. The long-term impact of disabling a wide swath of working-age adults remains to be seen, but it can't be good.
Getting really tired of these “journey” narratives, especially when they don’t give credit to the vehicle that got them to this point.
