“2019 U.S. Traffic Deaths Lowest Since 2014, but 2020 Numbers Aren’t Looking Good,” reported Car & Driver on October 1, 2020. “In the COVID-19 era, fatal accident percentages are up this year despite the smaller number of vehicles on the road, NHTSA’s latest data shows.”

Back then I sent that piece out to my list-serve, with this prefatory bit:

Here's a typically myopic article in Car and Driver—typical not of Car and Driver, but of the West's entire "news" juggernaut—about the rise in US traffic deaths this year. Note the "reasons" given by the NHTSA, according to the magazine:

“NHTSA said the reasons include more risky behavior, like an increase in speeding and a lower rate of seatbelt use, as well as a higher likelihood of drugs or alcohol being involved.”

Well, yeah; but why would folks be driving more recklessly, and likelier to drink and/or get high? Could, say, the lockdowns, and the crash of the economy, have anything to do with it?

And—the dog that isn't barking here—what about the face masks worn, insanely, by so many drivers? You've got a lot of people driving masked, including many old people; so why assume it couldn't possibly have anything to do with this grim trend? People ran a piece last summer on a masked driver in New Jersey who passed out at the wheel, and drove into a tree. It was a "human interest" story in People, and that's all. It should have sparked some journalistic interest in the likelihood that masking at the wheel has had disastrous consequences; but that's unlikely with the sort of "journalism" practiced in the USA, and not just here.

The NJ police department finding that the driver had been masked, and lost consciousness because of it, was pressured into issuing a statement that they were not qualified to say so, that he could have passed out for all sorts of reasons. That tells you how repressive this mask propaganda is; and how our "journalists"have been so addled by it that they can't even imagine that this rise in traffic deaths could be related to the psychopathic measures used to "keep us safe."

That was then. This, according to the Guardian (on May 18), is now:

Nearly 43,000 people killed last year as Americans returned to the roads after deserting them early in the pandemic

And why this increase over last year’s numbers? The reasons are the same as they were twenty months ago, according to the NHTSA:

“NHTSA has blamed reckless driving behavior for increases during the pandemic, citing behavioral research showing that speeding and traveling without a seat belt have been higher. Before 2020, the number of fatalities had fallen for three straight years.”

And as those reasons are the same, so is the most likely cause of all those fatal accidents—again—not mentioned by the NHTSA. Just as all those masks were not officially to blame for the remarkable uptick in traffic deaths in 2020, so is “vaccination” not officially to blame for the astounding spike apparent now.

But “vaccination” surely is the crucial factor here, just as masking was back then—crucial factors blacked out by the NHTSA’s one-eyed, blame-the-victim emphasis on “reckless driving.” The recklessness at issue, then, is not the negligence of drivers going too fast and/or not fastening their seat-belts, but the stunning criminality of all those governments, health agencies, schools, businesses, celebrities and media outlets pushing “vaccination” on the rest of us. They’re the ones responsible for this increasing slaughter on the roads, just as they’re the ones who’ve made air travel riskier than ever; but—of course—“our free press” will never properly identify those perpetrators (“our free press” being one of them), any more than it will ever honestly report what’s happening throughout our streets and highways, or why it all got so much worse since COVID, and, especially, since the global rollout of this killer “vaccination” drive.

A 71-year-old driver died after suffering a medical emergency and crashing into two utility poles in the Lehigh Valley, PA, authorities said. Richard Hetzel was behind the wheel of a gray Ford pickup truck towing a landscaping trailer loaded with dirt and grass sod heading east on William Penn Highway when he suffered a medical episode and went unconscious just after 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17, Bethlehem Township Police Chief Gregory J. Gottschall told DailyVoice.com.

Hetzel, of Easton, veered to the left near the intersection with Sheridan Drive before crossing over the west bound lane and onto the shoulder on the north side of the roadway, Gottschall said. Hetzel then crashed into and snapped a PPL utility pole, continued driving on the shoulder, and struck another utility pole before the truck came to a stop.

Hetzel was taken to the trauma center at St. Luke’s Hospital – Anderson Campus and later pronounced dead, Gottschall said. Both Hetzel and his passenger were wearing their seatbelts during the crash, which also caused the truck’s airbags to deploy. His passenger was not seriously hurt.

WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Waco Police Department detectives investigating a deadly wreck say a 65-year-old man experienced a medical episode and crashed into four parked and unoccupied vehicles.

Waco Fire Department firefighters had to pull the man and his 83-year-old female passenger out of the car. Both were rushed to a hospital, where the man was pronounced dead. The woman suffered “possible major injuries,” police said.

The wreck happened shortly before 10 a.m. on May 23 near the 1200 Block of Elm Street.

An autopsy was ordered for the man, and this investigation is ongoing. He was not identified by police.

School bus crash: 2 hospitalized after driver experiences medical episode, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two people were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle crash involving a school bus happened on Friday afternoon, the Chicago Police Department said.

A man was driving a school bus in the 5700 block of DuSable Lake Shore Drive on Chicago's South Side when he experienced a medical episode at about 4:49 p.m., police said. Multiple vehicles were struck.

The bus driver and a woman were hospitalized, police said. No other injuries were reported.

1 dead after medical emergency that causes Highland County crash

HIGHLAND COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) - A traffic crash occurred near Martinsburg Road in Highland County involving a deceased male.

Wilmington Highway Patrol received a call about a crash at 4:27 p.m. on Saturday.

Steven Shelton, 61, was found unresponsive in the vehicle.

Officials say that the car Shelton was operating drifted off the side of the road, hitting a guardrail and utility pole.

Shelton was pronounced dead at the scene.

The coroner's office confirmed that Shelton died of medical reasons, not from the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.

Man dies after suffering a heart attack and crashing a truck against a fence in Culiacán

CULIACÁN. [Mexico]_ A brick seller ended up crashing into the old Municipal Police booth of Colonia Lombardo Toledano, after suffering a heart attack while driving.

The deceased was identified as Martín "N", 59 years old, a resident of Colonia Los Mezcales.

Man seriously injured in Shoebury beachfront medical incident after falling down stairs

A man has been seriously injured after he tripped and fell down steps at a beachfront in Shoebury on Friday night (May 13). The incident happened at Rampart Terrance, Shoebury East Beach, where HM Coastguard Southend came to the scene at 11.50 pm.

The man had a suspected broken leg or pelvis as well as a seizure and lost feeling below his waist after falling from the beach huts above high water lines and onto the concrete pathway below. He called 999 and asked for an ambulance and HM Coastguard before giving an estimated location of Rampart Terrance.

Coastguard officers located the casualty lying on the ground in the dark as they talked to operators from the East of England Ambulance Services. They made sure the man was comfortable while waiting for paramedics to arrive on the scene.

The man had a small seizure dog with him when he fell, which coastguard officers were only too happy to keep an eye on and make friends with. The coastguard officers helped paramedics as they assessed the casualty and then assist with carrying him on the stretcher to wait for an ambulance.

Accident in via Roma: truck ends up in the construction site of the hospital

A truck, for reasons that are being ascertained by the police (in the first reconstruction, an illness or a fall asleep of the driver are not excluded), fell in the construction site area below via Roma, in Aosta, after colliding with a regional administration van on the stretch arriving at the roundabout with viale Ginevra.

The accident occurred today, Monday 16 May, at lunchtime, with heavy vehicle traffic increasing in the area following the closure of the Aostan ring road. The driver of the vehicle, a 44-year-old Italian, was transported to the hospital by 118: conscious since the arrival of the rescue, he was hospitalized in emergency medicine for a polycontusion (the prognosis about ten days).

Sudden illness for the driver of the school bus, half makes a flight of twenty meters

Both were hospitalized in red code, for dynamics, at Sant'Andrea della Spezia. In these hours, new details have emerged on what happened and a malfunction of the new vehicle, a few weeks on the road and which is one of those used in the school services agreed with the Municipality of La Spezia, should be excluded. The firefighters proceeded to extract the wounded from the carcass of the vehicle, which was destroyed. They entered through the tailgate and through a spinal stretcher they pulled out the man and the woman then entrusted to the care of the rescuers who stabilized them and transferred them, as mentioned, in red code to Sant'Andrea della Spezia. The health conditions of both wounded are improving.

The road where the accident occurred remained closed for the entire duration of the interventions. Removal of the vehicle was completed in the late morning.

The accident around 7.30, not far from Taranta di Cassano, in the direction of Fara. Andrew Symonds was 46. “Early information indicates, shortly after 11 pm, the car was being driven on Hervey Range Road, near Alice River Bridge when it left the roadway and rolled. Emergency services attempted to revive the 46-year-old driver and sole occupant, however, he died of his injuries. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating,” said a Police statement.
