Horrifying. He was (assuming he’s dead) a brave soul. I don’t know if he was simply naive or somehow had faith he would be okay, but he seemed like a decent guy and this is very sad news.

"...if he was simply naive or somehow had faith he would be okay..." Or perhaps he was courageous and acted on deep principle.

certainly that, but he seemed so surprised when the hotel booted him out for political reasons and that makes me think he might be a bit naive. I could be wrong, it was just an impression.

Good point.

He didn't likely anticipate that Hillary's rag would do that hit smear on him, then follow up with a direct call to the SBU!!! But he was definitely taking some precautions, just not nearly enough.

Surprising if he was caught off foot, after the fascio-horrors long implemented against Assange! Did he even recognize himself in that same category?

I was listening to Harmeet Dhillon, the attorney for Chaya Raichik who was outed by Taylor Lorenz. It appears the goal was to harm for her financially, emotionally and physically. This is not journalism. The Daily Beast, WaPo, the NYT and all others are parasitic creatures of the war machines that used to be our democratic governments. They are weapons

Where do you watch Convo Couch? I’ve seen it here and there and loved it!

Thanks Sage. I’ve met Pasta from Convo Couch and, though we have different politics, we see eye to eye on many subjects. It’s good to read and discuss things opposing my entrenched views. Eyes open!

I really hope this is just speculation and he is in hiding somewhere. Coach is down to earth and has always made so much sense. We need more voices like his, not less, so I hope he hasn’t gone down. Also hope Patrick Lancaster is staying safe.

We are all Gonzalo Lira in some way. What can we do to help him?

Very sad. I keep hoping somehow he's ok. But it isn't looking good. Fuck the Baily Deast.

I had just discovered him the past 2 months on YT and was hooked. I recall watching the last interview with Scott Ritter and feeling a bit scared for him, coz of how good and professional it was, folks would get ticked off. I'm praying earnestly for his safety. Is there hope?

Well, some of us are upset about Lira's disappearance. I never watched him but being kidnapped and tortured is horrible. I hope this hasn't happened to the poor man--or that he soon manages to get away if it has.

Disturbing how vicious many have become.

Glad you are covering this important event. Wish the mainstream media would cover it too. But good luck with that, right? His disappearance, which he pretty much predicted, is disturbing beyond words. Anyone who doesn't know Gonzalo's work should check out his videos. Always compelling, alway the straight shooter. No bull, not ever. He put his life on the line to give us the unvarnished truth. I pray that he somehow, some way, made it out alive. But with every hour, every day that goes by...I just don't know...

Who/whom...that's the only question "journalists" wrestle with before spinning a story.

Bezos did not purchase WaPo because he was interested in journalism, of course. The lies and propaganda from the MSM are so over-the-top, I have a hard time believing that anyone still takes them seriously. But they do...

Well given the nazi Botsman was looking for him (and posted on his twitter before) I believe he is. Scott Ritter has posted he had confirmation from a source over there.

You believe he is...what?

Poets are often prescient. The late Leonard Cohen wrote this:

"Give me absolute control

Over every living soul

...I've seen the future, brother

It is murder"

Truthfully, I'm no fan of NYC (or of any major city, for that matter), but I'd have swallowed that distaste for urban living if I'd known about Professor Miller at NYU back when I was young. He displays that felicitous combination of innate common sense, solid learning, and ample curiosity that makes for a teacher one remembers fondly throughout life. Spending time with such people changes everything... for the better.

I have a neologism -- I believe it's original but others may have come up with it too - that perhaps we should all start using, one that gets around censorship algorithms neatly. From now on, we need to talk about the "Ukrainazis" in Kiev and sprinkled generously around that nation.

There's a new twitter account @Lira01Real claiming to be Lira. The tweets sound as though they could be genuine. No confirmation yet from anyone though.
