Putin makes his case before a group of Russian airline personnel; and a NATO laptop, left behind (allegedly) at a Ukrainian military base, shows plans for an offensive to seize Donbas and Crimea
I also liked him during Kavanaugh. He's done nothing but disappoint ever since. But since my NC Republican Senators are an ongoing embarrasment, I have no leg to stand on.
All of the tv watchers in my Sacramento suburb neighborhood are wanting to boycott Russian gas. Don't think I can share anything with them. I'm already on their last nerve because of covid.
Most people would call the invading nation the aggressor.
"Yeah but rationalisations!"
Still. Russian invades Ukraine, again. But because Bad Vlad has let russian agitprop build an image of "anti-globalist nationalist defender", all the war crimes and other crimes of Russia the past 20 years are instantly forgotten.
Oh well, Lord Haw-Haw and Oswald Mosley also thought the agressors back then were doing pro-active self defence.
I'd love to know what Putin was saying but I don't speak Russian! Many of us still believe that there are always two sides to every story, regardless of what the stooges in American media may say these days.
Thanks, Mark. I found the English subtitled version (Jerry posts the URL below). You're doing the world a great service by allowing BOTH sides to be heard.
Kamala Harris was at the Munich Security Conference where Zelensky made his speech on Feb. 19 claiming nuclear status for Ukraine. They even met. Zelensky surely at least cleared his speech with the Americans. I further suspect that the Americans told him what to say in his speech. They had so far failed to provoke Putin to invade Ukraine, but this was meant to be the last straw that would compel Putin to act.
Video is not available on a UK proxy. Been finding this a lot lately, I couldn't log into one platform that I occasionally use on a Polish proxy about 5 days ago. Changed to Australian and no problems.
As a resident of South Carolina I want to apologize for our Senator Lindsey Graham. He's a fool of a tool that only the swamp can use.

The appointment itself of Kavanaugh by Trump was a sickening disappointment. Worse still was Barret.
I tried to like him during his defense of Kavanaugh.... That didn't last long.
Tell me about it.
He used to amuse me. Now not so much.

Do they all drive electric cars?

Thanks for always offering a more nuanced perspective, Mark. I found this illuminating:

Thank you, this is helpful. I so want to understand this in Putin's own words.
Putin video has no translation to English.
As someone else noted, "Video is not available on a UK proxy" which I think pretty much proves your point.

Zelensky surely at least cleared his speech with the Americans. I further suspect that the Americans told him what to say in his speech. Thank you! It's so great to be able to hear the perspective from the other side - also absorbed with a few grains of skepticism.
Thank you for this piece Mark. Sadly, the videos are not available to watch in the UK. Most frustrating!
The subtitles ceased after about 5 minutes.

Thanks!
Laughably useless unless translated into English…

They can be changed to English, but even then the text is so garbled that I can't make sense of it.
