Whoopi Goldberg will be taking a break from her hosting duties on The View as she battles her second round of COVID.
Today’s episode opened with Sara Haines covering Goldberg’s spot. A representative with the show later confirmed that the actress tested positive for the virus that afternoon.
While talk to EW, the rep shared that Goldberg felt ill ahead of the Nov 14 installment, so she decided to stay home and take a COVID test just in case.

'The View' host demands booster status from audience after Whoopi Goldberg tests positive for COVID again

"The View" hosts turned to their audience members [sic] Tuesday and asked if they got their third COVID-19 booster shots after announcing co-host Whoopi Goldberg had tested positive for the virus.
Co-host Joy Behar wished Goldberg well and co-host Ana Navarro said COVID-19 was "coming back."
"It’s coming back, another friend of mine got it, too. I mean we have to be careful again," Behar said.
Co-host Sunny Hostin noted it was "interesting" because a lot of people weren't getting the "new booster."
"Clap if you had your third booster," Behar said to the masked audience. The audience applauded loudly in response.
Behar said they were "smart" and Hostin told them it was "worth it." The hosts then went on to discuss their first "Hot Topic," Donald Trump's upcoming potential announcement that he will be running for president in 2024.

Jane Fonda Says She's 'Not Going to Be Around for Much Longer'

Jane Fonda is coming to terms with her own mortality, with a month to go before her 85th birthday. The living legend announced in September that she was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and started chemotherapy treatments. That has not slowed her activism at all though.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight last week, Fonda spoke about the importance of celebrities when it comes to raising awareness for important causes.
"For better or worse, celebrities bring attention to a subject matter. And I'm not gonna be around for much longer and we need to get celebrities involved in this issue so they can help keep it going," the two-time Oscar winner told ET. "When you get to be my age, you better be aware of the amount of time that is behind you as opposed to in front of you. I mean, that's just realistic."
Fonda said one of her personal goals is to live long enough to see her "grandkids get old enough so I go out knowing they're gonna be OK." [May God protect her grandkids from her influence.] She added, “But, you know, my work on the climate is gonna be something. I'll be doing that till I drop."

General Hospital cast troubles continue as Stephen A Smith has Covid for a second time in 10 months

Sportscaster and actor Stephen A Smith portrays Brick on General Hospital and has said he almost died when he had COVID about a year ago. Last week it was announced that he had contracted the coronavirus for a second which makes him the 15th cast member to have dealt with Covid or other serious issues since January. Every month this year there has been sickness or tragedy related to those associated with the ABC soap cast and some fans call it a GH curse.
Last October General Hospital fired Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) and Ingo Rademacher (Jasper Jax) along with two crew members because they refused the Covid vaccine. All four asked for religious exemptions and were refused….
15 GH cast in 11 months is a record
The roll call of the affected cast is as follows: 1. Chad Duell dealt with COVID and a later setback, 2. Cameron Matthison is battling an ongoing degenerative disease although it has not interfered with his screen time and 3. Kristina Wagner's son Harrison passed away this past summer. [Harrison Wagner’s body was found in a Hollywood parking lot in early June, no cause of death reported.]
In addition to Duell, Laura Wright. Kelly Thiebaud, Inga Cadrenal, Smith, and Real Andrews (4-8) acknowledged having the coronavirus. 9. Sophia Mattison and 10. Amanda Setton were temporarily replaced. 11. Kelly Monaco was off-screen but denies having Covid, while 12. Charles Shaughnessy had a hip replacement and 13. Nancy Lee Grahn had back surgery.
The one absence that has not been addressed is 14. Leslie Charleson (Monica Quartermaine) who observed her 45th year on the ABC soap in August. Monica has not been on screen since the first of the year and is only mentioned once in a while. There were rumors that she would retire after her anniversary but at this point fans still know nothing and ABC brass remain silent. 15. Emma Samms who just returned as Holly Sutton announced she has been dealing with long COVID since 2020.

Bethenny Frankel Reacts to Backlash Over Her Vaccine Comments: ‘We’re Not F—King Babies’

Not mincing words. Bethenny Frankel reacted after receiving backlash for her comments about vaccines — and she didn’t hold back.
“You know what’s the best? Everybody’s an expert on everything. Like, ‘Don’t you talk about the vaccine when you’re talking about what’s going on with your health,’” the Real Housewives of New York City alum, 52, said in a Monday, November 14, Instagram video. “Ooh, I’m so scared, I can’t say the v-word.”
Frankel continued: “I’ll talk about whatever I want. I’m going through a medical journey and sharing and collecting data and we’re allowed to have conversations. It’s like politics now. F–k you. Whoever has a problem with me sharing and talking and learning and expressing — I’m not spreading any kind of propaganda and we’re not f–king babies. We understand what a vaccine is.”
The New York native then compared deciding whether or not to get vaccinated to making other life choices such as whether to drink vodka or smoke pot. “We get to make out own decisions. … What are we, we’re mummies? No brain? … I mean, I’d like to know what’s going on and then we can make educated decisions,” she said.
In the clip’s caption, Frankel opened up about her ongoing health battle with “some sort of autoimmune issue” and “chronically, dangerously low” blood pressure. She explained that “mention of the v-word” in her exploration of what led to her medical issues had sparked the backlash.
