I've worked in the fashion industry in the communication side of it for 20 yrs and I've had great relationships with gay people that, as we all know, fill most of the firms.
Lovely, creative people, whatever they were gays or lesbians, never a single problem as hetero to work with them, instead nice friendships, still now that I left the business since 12 yrs ago.
But I left that industry because a new generation of homosexuals were occupying the seats: guys/girls with no creativity at all, unkind, arrogant, they were a lobby, a strong lobby able to kick off employers and collaborators they didn't like, that didn't please them...
People with no skills other than PR, chatting behind your shoulder, talking bad of him or her, ruining carriers, deciding who was in or out... And they did so because the Designer was getting old, and his staff also, so it was an easy task for them.
When I'll talk about gender to my 10 yrs old kid, I'll tell him this story, to weight very well the attitudes, but most of all to be aware and pay much more attention to those guys/girls as they now are mainly poison snakes. But txs god he doesn't watch Disney's production, he never like them.

After which, Disney presented as progressive hero organisation being attacked by Right Wingers like Tucker Carlson.

It's real. Snopes even chimed in on it, saying it's real, but more or less claiming people will see what they want to see. They say the cards came out in 2015 (which makes it even worse in my opinion...).
We went to San Diego for my mom's 60th a few years back and decided to skip Disneyland and instead go to Legoland. It was the best day ever! The younger kids were able to go on almost all the rides as well. I can't recommend it highly enough. The kids and adults were all very happy all day. Disney's gross.
call me out if you think i'm wrong but to me this looks like classic disgruntled employees. disney is a big corporation so a lot of people had to sign off on this before it went to the factory, but what if the entire design department is pissed off at the corporate bosses? maybe they're all sitting around sullenly, smoking weed and coming up with puerile jokes at the expense of the bosses? the image itself is pretty funny imo - minnie is telling mickey to eat a dick, maybe that's a message to corporate hq? same psychology as the third grader who flips the bird to the camera in the school class photo...just a hunch

Nobody has said the Minnie dress poster is fake. It is anything BUT subliminal. It's hard to see how it could have been accepted back in the day
