This is what I have been screaming. Workers stay home in huge numbers. Shut down their cash registers. Hit them in the pocketbook. This will have an impact on businesses but it will also impact the government. No bus drivers, train operators, store clerks, hospitals. Shut it all down. Believe me it won't last long.
The People have the power they're just afraid to use it. I said it since Occupy Wall Street,, the People need to STOP the Death $$ machine from churning. It's the Debt $ that funds their own abuse. They protest in the streets then undo that work by going to their Job. It takes GUTS,, that's the currency people need to see as the REAL value.
This scares me to death. It's exactly what the Venezuelans did... Media worldwide called it an "Oil strike" but it was actually a NATIONAL strike. (El paro nacional.) When the good workers got fed up and left their posts in protest, it was assumed that they would be NEEDED. Instead, every post was filled with Chavez supporters -- qualified or not. Things didnt function well for a few years, and theyre still not great, but those replacements did eventually figure out how to do a passable job (at least a third-world passable) ... The "real" professionals never got their jobs back. :(
Here's another video showing several of the Ottawa Convoy organizers sitting around a table, discussing this general strike call. And it's not just for Canada! They're asking for support worldwide. Don't go to work, take some cash out of the bank.
