Had lunch with a far left leaning friend on Wednesday. She commented that many people in her circle of friends are dying. She attributed it to us getting older and that's why her friends are sick or dying. She is vaxxed and boosted. Last time we had lunch in around April I mentioned neither me nor my husband opted for the vax. She was surprised but let it pass. Her husband has had two heart scares. She would never dream that the deaths, illnesses, heart scares are vax related. She doesn't let on at least that it is the vax and probably never will.
I was sorry to hear about the many deaths in your circle of friends. Yesterday, my neighbor died in his sleep. His wife died in 2022 following a very brief battle with cancer. Fortunately they were both vaccinated in 2021 or it could have been much worse. The neighbor to the other side of me, shared that her brother was just diagnosed with Parkinson’s. Although he does not yet show any advanced symptoms, she gave him a brochure on euthanasia for him to consider. Luckily he’s already been vaccinated and boosted. My friend’s Dad was living a healthy life in 2020 before he got vaccinated and boosted. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 Renal Cell Carcinoma in May 2024.
He had been hiking with his family in January 2024 then literally a week after the hike he fell and fractured his spine. They did scans and found something on his kidney. A biopsy revealed that he has stage 4 cancer that the cancer has metastasized almost everywhere…excluding his head thank goodness. The cancer caused his bones to become weak and brittle. Then in July he started coughing up blood clots. He received spot radiation for the clots and it seems to have helped. He also did 20 more days of spot treatments to his spine, shoulder, pelvis, and femur. Since then he has quickly degraded from walking to using a walker to needing a wheelchair. Last month he suddenly stopped being able to get up at all. His doctor took scans and says his bones can still bear his weight - but the pain is now indescribable. He began to suffer from SEVERE, unrelenting neuropathic pain that shoots down his legs. We are all getting older and need to prepare for the loss of those close to us. Thanks for listening.
Oh Lord yes, it could have been much, much worse. Why would a liberal vote for the left? Why would a liberal take the vaccine? Why is Donald Trump so hated? Some of life's great mysteries.
