Found out the other week that my new tower master of my bell ringing group is a covid zealot who banned several members of his old church group for refusing to take Satan’s Sacrament. In the pub after a recent ring, the subject came up. He asked me directly about the place I’d had if done. I deflected by saying it had been mandated through work and they chose the venue. All true of course except the part about my accepting the idiot mandate.

I don’t understand. Just tell people that you didn’t get the wicked jabs!

I did for over a year, in that time I convinced no one to change their minds and instead found myself sidelined time and time again. My new strategy is to not outright lie but instead deflect. That way I can still have a life in a small community made up of a large flock of asleep normies who experience tells are not waking up even if they or theirs die suddenly.

In the UK, churches have 4-12 bells in their towers. These bells are rung by an increasingly small group of individuals, not only is the whole hobby taboo to most folk but it’s actually pretty darned hard to boot.

Ok. I understand now.

I am very sorry that you are in this horrible situation.

I urge you to find a church that honors God’s Word and teaches truth contained in the Bible.
