Coolio, the Grammy-winning Compton rapper who was behind the global hit “Gangsta’s Paradise,” has died. He was 59.
His manager, Jarez Posey, told The Hollywood Reporter that Coolio died Wednesday afternoon at a friend’s house in Los Angeles. “He went to use the bathroom and never came out,” he said. NO CAUSE OF DEATH WAS GIVEN.
Found out the other week that my new tower master of my bell ringing group is a covid zealot who banned several members of his old church group for refusing to take Satan’s Sacrament. In the pub after a recent ring, the subject came up. He asked me directly about the place I’d had if done. I deflected by saying it had been mandated through work and they chose the venue. All true of course except the part about my accepting the idiot mandate.
