Correct. And if La Cosa Nostra was small time and did what they did for power and profit, think about what the people behind the banking cartel and the rest of the corporate, academic, media, political, industrial, pharmaceutical cartel will/have/are doing for power and profit. It boggles the mind. But we are not deterred.

CIA worked with La Cosa Nostra apparently, in this case someone described as the associate of Cosa Nostra in the USA.

By posting an old story, I don't mean to imply that the intelligence community collaborating with organized crime is something in the past. I think "official" collaboration with crime is rampant and ongoing within the US at this point. The informant that the FBI used in the Newburgh case was a known criminal in his country of origin. He was also the owner of the limo company involved in a bizarre accident in upstate NY where 20 people were reported to have been killed. I don't know enough about the subject really, just that there have been very sketchy things going on here under the guise of "homeland security." It is pretty sick that the FBI would pay a dangerous criminal 100K per year as an informant for purported purposes of "homeland security." Paying known criminals and granting them power to mislead members of the public seems like the opposite of "security."
