Nothing stopped or collapsed when the great Y2K came along, either. Nobody stopped flying if they wanted to. I was told tourism here only slowed down for the first month, then was full tilt boogie again. Past few months, lots of fleeing Israelis, some very fine people, others, so so. As all nations. Actually, lots of folks bailed to here during supposed no fly times. No such thing. If they want to scare you into not flying, it's cause they already got all they can handle. And the prices will stop you, if nothing else. Fear porn is addictive.

I was a FF flyer with SW and emailed them not to enforce mask mandates or require jabs for employees. I quit flying them and switched airlines. Later the CEO left SW. Not sure why.
I rolled the dice and flew Delta recently without incident.
I do feel it is unlikely that multiple pilots would have emergencies on the same flight unless they were over seas length.

They are crashes. What is most amazing are the vehicles being driven as if on a race track - actually much more wildly than pro track cars, AND in dense suburban highway traffic. I expect to see them trigger a crash, but that I never see. They may be "high" but they can handle their high performance cars. Those are never the cars involved in the crashes that I pass by after the fact. What is unmistakable is the hostility and aggression on the roads, and the distraction and incompetence of average drivers.
